Tech II

A simple strategy, with a powerful return

The Challenge

When a leading food manufacturer, and long-time BGR customer, was awarded the job to develop a new line of packaged soups for the nation’s largest retailer, they needed a label supplier who they could count on — One who could not only meet the highest print quality standards, but could also work with their premier container manufacturer, Tech II, to develop a color-matched label and application system.

Our Custom Solution

Using our state-of-the-art UV Inkjet Digital Press, BGR produced vivid and durable labels for over 15 SKUs. The end-customer liked the print quality of the container’s face labels so much that they requested the container’s lid label, previously thermally imprinted directly onto the plastic lid, be printed by BGR as well.

BGR’s team of Automation Engineers were able to supply Tech II with a new label applicating system to apply the new lid labels — all while meeting product launch deadlines.

“BGR provided the expertise we needed to select the best label applicator for our application... Great communication made this one of our smoothest projects.”

-Dan Szempruch, Tech II
